Terrell has the population needed to fill these jobs. To keep our available workforce here at home, the Terrell EDC partners with local schools, colleges and organizations to train our future workforce and build a robust talent pipeline for our businesses.
TVCC Dual-Credit Courses
In partnership with Trinity Valley Community College (TVCC), Terrell ISD offers free Dual Credit college courses to its high school students. Students enrolled in Dual Credit courses can earn college credits while in high school and even graduate with an associate’s degree. TISD covers the cost of tuition, fees, books, and transportation to and from TVCC for qualified students.
Career & Technical Education
Terrell ISD offers a wide range of Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses to prepare our future workforce for college and careers right here in Terrell. Students can learn the vital technical skills that businesses need through the CTE industry-led pathway programs.

Terrell ISD and TVCC Health & Science Center
Quality health care workers are in high demand, and the TVCC Health & Science Center in Terrell is dedicated to filling these needs. A partnership between the Terrell EDC, City of Terrell, TVCC and Terrell ISD, the Health & Science Center is used by TVCC and TISD students who are enrolled in health science programs and pursuing one of three career pathways:
Bachelor of Nursing
Licensed Vocational Nursing
Occupational Skills Certificate
TISD and TVCC cover the cost of tuition, books, fees and transportation for TISD students enrolled in the program.
